My Art: How I See It: Abdur Rehman Chughtai (1899-1975)

Excerpt from a commissioned translation by Inayat Hussain of Urdu writing by Abdur Rehman Chughtai which appeared in Volume 2.2 (2007). This particular article is dedicated to the 60 years of Pakistan celebration and bears testament to Nukta Art’s commitment to looking inwards and while being conscious of global trends. 

The issue examines the establishment of the National Art Gallery (NAG) through various articles, including Sara Mehmood’s exploration of the birth of the NAG against Pakistan’s political landscape and an interview with Jamal Shah, the curator of the NAG, as well as architect’s design vision statement.
