Being Bipolar

This feature by Nabiha Meher Sheikh was published in the 2012 issue (Mahira Khan cover). The piece explored the stigma of growing up with mental illness in Pakistan’s conservative society. It was a reflective and deeply personal account that examined how mental health is dismissed and how women, in particular, are expected to suppress their emotions to cater to others. This emotional and honest narrative made it a vital contribution deserving preservation in the archives.
